Writing Instruction Platform

WritingCity provides a secure platform that connects students to teachers and teachers to administrators.

Students in grades K-5 have access to their own specialized platforms. 2nd through 5th graders can log in to access lessons and assignments, play grammar practice games, free write and check for teacher feedback. Kindergarten and first grade students have their own login, modified for their young ages, that allows them to access grammar practice games and lessons, draw and check for teacher feedback, or Glows and Grows.

Teachers log in to access tools and resources that support them in teaching writing. Teachers have the tools to provide meaningful and specific feedback by annotating student work and returning it to the student for rework. Their tools allow them to give a final grade, complete with emojis, and even celebrate student work by publishing it to their private class page. Resources like answer keys, student samples, grammar lessons and conferencing tips will help teachers deliver the writing instruction with confidence.

Account Administrators have a bird’s-eye view of the account. The administrator (or co-admin) of an account has the ability to view reports at multiple levels of granularity, from class summaries to the details of a particular student. Along with tools for managing the account and student roster, administrators have access to view the curriculum.
