WriteSteps’ Curriculum Creator to Present Common Core Writing Tips at California Charter Schools Conference

Grandville, MI (PR Log) March 1, 2013 — Denise Dusseau, curriculum creator for WriteSteps, will present success strategies for Common Core writing to educators at the 20th Annual California Charter Schools Conference and Anniversary Celebration in San Diego, CA. WriteSteps is a research-based, award-winning, digital and print, 100% K-5 Common Core writing and grammar program.

On March 12 at 3:45 p.m., Dusseau will present Ready, Test, Score! Essential Tools for Common Core Writing Success to teachers and administrators. She will explore effective ways teachers can build strong Common Core writer’s workshop through the use of authentic student writing samples, planning tools, and student conferencing. Educators in attendance will take home techniques they can put to immediate use in their classrooms. The session will be held at Exhibit Hall EFG, Poster 6.

Dusseau holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, has served as a K-5 writing coach, and created the lessons for WriteSteps Common Core lessons. She is also an adjunct writing professor at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL.
