Idaho State Board of Education Approves WriteSteps on Recommended Writing Programs List

Grandville, MI (PRLOG) – WriteSteps today announced that their evidence-based, award-winning, digital and print, K-5 Common Core writing and grammar program, has been approved by the Idaho State Board of Education to be used in Idaho classrooms.

“We are thrilled that WriteSteps has been approved by the state of Idaho,” said Suzanne Klein, Founder and CEO of WriteSteps. “We look forward to connecting with Idaho educators and school districts to prepare students for a lifetime of confident writing.”

The WriteSteps curriculum is posted in the Idaho Recommended Writing Component Programs/Resources list, which includes a complete listing of textbooks and other instructional materials approved by the Idaho Board of Education.

WriteSteps covers narrative, informative/explanatory, and opinion writing texts aligned to the Common Core writing standards. The daily lesson program gives teachers and students everything they need to develop their craft with confidence. Visual aids such as authentic student writing samples, graphic organizers, and 6 Traits/Common Core rubrics give students of all learning styles effective habits that foster clear written expression.

The purpose of state recommendation of instructional material is to provide Idaho schools with the best core-related materials. The adoption process also provides for consistent contract pricing of the recommended materials at the lowest price for Idaho schools.

WriteSteps can also be found on instructional material state lists in Utah and Georgia.
